Overview
Premium 3D SAS was the company that shaped me into the builder I am today.
I founded it while I was still an Industrial Design student, with no capital, no network, and no roadmap, just a clear vision:
“3D technologies would transform entire industries, and I wanted to build the first smart 3D factory in Colombia.”
What started with small university projects quickly grew into a multidisciplinary manufacturing hub serving more than 600 clients across automotive, machinery, engineering, jewelry, healthcare, architecture, and entertainment.
Premium 3D SAS became one of the first 3D companies in Latin America to achieve ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, elevating quality, reliability and data security to international standards.
Context
Colombia had almost no access to high-precision digital manufacturing.
Most companies used basic FDM filament printing with limited accuracy.
There was no ecosystem, no standards, and very few professionals applying 3D technologies strategically.
I saw an opportunity where almost no one else did:
bringing high-precision resin printing, 3D scanning, and advanced CAD modeling to the country, and using it to solve real problems in real industries.
My Role
As Founder & Industrial Designer, I led:
- Product design & engineering for custom parts
- High-precision resin printing (SLA/DLP) when almost no one used it
- 3D scanning for reverse engineering and digitalization of old machinery
- Development of functional prototypes for multiple industries
- Design workflows, production pipelines, and quality systems
- Business development, client acquisition and sector expansion
- Certification processes for ISO 9001 & 27001
I wasn’t just designing, I was building a factory from scratch, learning every step by doing, iterating and adapting.
Process Highlights
- Introduced industrial-grade resin printing to Colombia, enabling precise tolerances and professional-quality finishing.
- Used 3D scanning to digitize aging machinery for modernization and spare-part production.
- Created an integrated workflow between design → scanning → CAD → printing → post-processing.
- Developed tailored solutions for diverse industries:
- Automotive & heavy machinery (replacement parts, housings, connectors)
- Jewelry & art (micro-detail printing, resin casting molds)
- Culinary sector (food-safe molds for chefs)
- Healthcare applications (prototypes, ergonomic components)

- Scaled operations to serve over 600 clients with fast delivery and consistent quality.
- Built a reputation for solving “impossible” problems through design, creativity and engineering.
